Editorial policy

Warmth & Watt aims to make household energy topics clear without overstating what a general article can establish. We distinguish established explanations from context-dependent choices and welcome careful corrections.

Accuracy and scope

We check wording, definitions, and the logic of explanations before publication, and revisit material when a point is unclear or outdated. A building’s condition, climate, equipment, and local requirements can change what makes sense; we say when a question needs local expertise rather than implying a single answer fits every home.

Independence and disclosure

Editorial decisions are made for reader relevance and clarity. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage or a favorable view. Sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled where it appears, and commercial placements are kept distinct from independent editorial pieces.

Corrections

If you spot an error, use the Contact page and identify the article and passage. We review correction requests, amend material when warranted, and make the change clear when it affects the meaning or usefulness of an article.

Images and illustrations

Images are used to clarify or set a scene, not to stand in for evidence. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when they are, they are identified as AI-generated. Illustrations should not be read as a record of a specific home, installation, or product.
